Honeymoon Day 10

Sadly, this was our last day in the parks. And since I wanted to go out on a high, we were going to spend it in my favorite park, the Magic Kingdom. Since we had just been there two days ago, we weren't in a big hurry, so we took our time getting there. We then mostly just wandered, doing things we wanted to do again and hitting all my favorites.

We started with breakfast at the Main Street Bakery. I had heard that their cinnamon rolls were delicious. They were huge and warm. It was a great start to our day.

Later, we came across the parade and I took the opportunity to take pictures of characters since we didn't meet them during our trip.

We ended up having lunch at Casey's Corner on Main Street. I'd never eaten there before, but since their menu is a variety of hot dogs, it was perfect for us. I had the corn dog nuggets and M had a hot dog. We ate at the outdoor seating and met a friendly duck who had a chipped beak.

Of course, we had to ride the People Mover again.

And lucky for us, we happened to be taking a break in Adventureland when I spotted this guy! I got to see the whole show and took lots of pictures.

It was so cute when this little guy got to fight Capt. Jack Sparrow. And seriously, can you believe that's not Johnny Depp? The actor was amazing!

Later, we realized that we hadn't taken any pictures together, so we tried, but we're horrible at that.

This is the best one and you can't even see the castle.

When we were done at the Magic Kingdom, we spent the evening at Downtown Disney, finishing our souvenir shopping. Afterward, we headed back to the Lodge to finish our packing and enjoying our amazing view for the last night.

The next day, we would be flying back home, but first, we had one last breakfast reservation. And would we really make it back home??

Doctor Who's Day - Least Favorite Companion

This week's Doctor Who's Day topic is least favorite companion. I had to think about this one for a moment because I don't hate any of the companions, but I decided that there is one that I like the least.

Oh Martha, I so wanted to like you. In her first episode, we learned that Martha was a medical student about to be a doctor. She accepted the Doctor and jumped right in to help when the hospital was taken to the moon and overrun with Judoon. She came across as smart, strong, independent, and just a bit sassy.

But starting in the next episode, things started to change. Suddenly Martha started reading the Doctor wrong and she was in love with him. The rest of the season was spent watching Martha pine for the Doctor and be all pouty when he didn't pay attention to her.

It didn't help when the Doctor would mention Rose or elude to previous companions. Then, she got all green eyed monster and it was just annoying.

Martha did manage to redeem herself a bit at the end when she saved the world. But in the end, she chose to leave the Doctor because he didn't reciprocate her feelings.

It's not Martha's fault she was written so poorly, but for that, she's my least favorite companion.

Who's your least favorite companion?

Pinterest Sunday

Time for my weekly Pinterest roundup! Every Sunday, I share with you a few of my top finds from the previous week.

A TARDIS diamond ring? Is it too late to exchange my engagement ring?

I'm pretty sure this strawberry pie needs to be in my near future. Yum!

How adorable is the Duchess of Cambridge in her colored skinnies and a sweatshirt? Now I think I just might need some colored denim.

Doctor Who's Day - Favorite Companion

The second topic for the Doctor Who challenge is your favorite companion. This was actually an easy question for me. On the new Doctor Who series, the Doctor has had 4 regular companions, plus random companions from the various specials. But far and away, the current companion, Amy Pond, is my favorite.

Basically, I want to be Amy. She's pretty, ginger, and Scottish, which of course, means she's feisty. When I first met Amy, she was a child who found the Doctor crashed in her garden. He charmed her and then left for 12 years. And Amy waited the whole time for him to come back. So basically, what the Doctor's been doing to me for the past 7 years.

When we next met Amy, she was a bride-to-be on the eve of her wedding. As a bride-to-be only a couple months away from my own wedding, I again identified with her. If The Doctor showed up the night before my wedding, I totally would have gone with him too, since he could easily bring me back in time for the wedding. But I'd probably leave a note, just in case.

And eventually, I'd agree to take my husband along too, like Rory. One of the things I love about Amy is that unlike former companions, she's not hopelessly in love with the Doctor. I like that she has Rory, who has grown on me over the past 2 seasons.

Now I'm sad that Amy and Rory will be leaving this season. I'm mostly worried that something bad will happen. Few companions leave happy. In fact, none of them have so far! Here's hoping that Stephen Moffat does something nice for them!

Are you a Doctor Who fan? Who's your favorite companion?
