When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up?
First, I wanted to work at the grocery store because I wanted to scan things. (I did that job in college. Scanning things was actually kind of fun.)
Then, I wanted to be a teacher which is pretty much what I wanted to be for the rest of my life. And it's what I still want to be.
What was your favorite way to kill time as a kid?
Reading! I spent a lot of time reading in my room especially during the summers. I was really lucky that the bookmobile came to my neighborhood and they parked right outside my house.
I also loved to play with my Barbies. I could amuse myself for hours with those dolls.
When did you get your first cell phone?
Not until college. Having a cell phone wasn't a big thing for teenagers when I was a teen. I really only got a phone because I got a car and would be driving alone to college and home.
What is your favorite magazine to read?
I hesitate to name one because every time I find a magazine I really like, it seems to stop publishing. I'm a not big magazine person, really. I get some magazines, but they were all free through various reward programs.
If I had to pick a magazine, I'd probably say People.
What is the one random object people would be surprised to find in your purse?
Hmm, I don't think I really keep anything out of the norm in my purse...I guess I'd have to say a pocket prayer book.
I carry it because I still don't know all the prayers and I'm afraid I'll go to confession and be told to pray something I don't know. Of course, I'd also have to use it to go to confession because I can't seem to memorize the Act of Contrition for confession. Last time, the priest had me do the one from Mass since I do have that one memorized.
Stopping in from Sunday Social! :)

Personally I think it's kind of silly that you are assigned a prayer to pray for confession. Pray what's in your heart. (And I come from a Catholic background too so I say this from experience.) I played with Barbies quite a bit as well. Nice reading your blog. Love the layout!
ReplyDeleteI loved to scan things as a kid. I remember getting the canned goods out of the cabinets and making a make-shift grocery store!
ReplyDeleteWhoa?!?! A book mobile? That sounds pretty girl. I lived out in the country so we didn't have such things. Ha. And I was a cashier too, for two years!
